Ambassadors
Alexei Rojas Fedorushchenko
ARSENAL & COLOMBIA UNDER 20s GOALKEEPER
We’re excited to welcome Alexei Rojas Fedorushchenko as our first ever Ambassador!
Alexei’s multilingual upbringing – born in the UK to a Colombian father and Russian mother – together with his bright future as an international footballer, make him a perfect role model.
As part of his ambassadorship, Alexei will join selected Mingalaba school visits, take part in motivational talks, support classroom sessions and football activities, and meet pupils to answer questions about his journey.
This collaboration is about having a positive impact on young people — helping pupils feel more motivated, have higher aspirations and become more open to continuing with languages.
Alexei said: “I’m very happy to be a Mingalaba Ambassador and I’m looking forward to inspiring and educating children on the importance of languages and all the opportunities it can open for them in their personal and professional lives. It is one of the most powerful skills that you can have as a person.”
Steve Eadon, Founder of Mingalaba, added: “I am delighted to welcome Alexei to Mingalaba as our first ever Ambassador. Within moments of meeting him, you realise very quickly how engaging and socially conscious he is – he really gets it. I know his support will have a huge impact on young people across the country and help create a buzz for languages.
